The Biography Man
The Biography Man is a short story by Gary Reilly that originally appeared in The Iowa Review, Vol. 8, No. 4 (Fall, 1977). It was later included in the annual Pushcart Prize anthology whose mission is to showcase the very best writing from America’s small presses and magazines. Each year, over 5000 short stories and poems are nominated for inclusion in the prestigious collection. Only the best 60 or so make the final cut. This was Reilly’s first published work of fiction.
